Me too. Totally different than the fake picture they put up front and center.
so was a virgin when i got married but my wife studied later in life and had been married for 6 months and had two boyfriends in her past.
my strict witness mother hated my wife and thought she was not good enough for me.
she thought all worldly women were dirty whores who cannot keep their vaginas to themselves.

a new space telescope launched a few days age that will supposedly be able to see to within 100 million years of the big bang.
wow... only 100 million years from the big bang.
that is pretty early given the 12 billion year age of the universe assigned by scholars who adhere to naturalism.
The early universe looked slightly different than one model predicted
@anonyMous, I appreciate your perspective.
But I do think it fair to say that it looked quite different than expected. The Space Telescope Science Institute leads the science and mission operations for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). (This is a quote from them (not some bobble-head) :
“We thought the early universe was this chaotic place where there’s all these clumps of star formation, and things are all a-jumble,” Coe said.
Here's another astrophysicist quote:
“With the resolution of James Webb, we are able to see that galaxies have disks way earlier than we thought they did,” says Allison Kirkpatrick, an astronomer at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. That’s a problem, she says, because "it contradicts earlier theories of galaxy evolution".
But it doesn't contradict a creationist model at all.
The experts are saying that there is hardly an empty space to be found.
Just a week after the release of the first science images from JWST, astronomers were reporting the detection of galaxies at redshift 13, equating to about 300 million years after the Big Bang. Now, a new wave of scientific results is smashing past that record, with some astronomers reporting the detection of galaxies up to a redshift of 20. If true, then we are seeing these galaxies as they existed about 200 million years after the Big Bang. - Space.com
The problem is that there are galaxies everywhere they are not supposed to be. It is impossible for stars, much less galaxies to form this early according to the BB model. The reality is of course that physics do not allow for them to form on their own at all.... but that is a different topic. - "Decades of observations have yielded a variety of empirical rules about how it [star formation] operates, but at present we have no comprehensive, quantitative theory."
All this is a very big deal.
yes, that is an actual question in the awake magazine.
jw kids lives are already miserable enough trying to obey all the ignorant rules of the wt.. no sports, no school dance, no holidays.... just field service.
as if that isn't enough.... let's take away their puppy dogs too!.

Here's my original prediction:
"I would like to make a prediction from a Creation Model:
Instead of finding a big mess as the big bang predicts; they will find fully formed stars, spiral galaxies and black holes. I further predict that scholars adhering to the Big Bang model will use words like: surprising, amazing, uncanny, astonishing, and will admit that stars must have formed far earlier than previously thought."
This recent article from Scientific American uses the exact words I predicted : surprising, amazing in describing my key prediction: stars and galaxies..."formed far earlier than thought".
Article Quotes:
"his algorithm dug through early images from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) late one night in July, Naidu shot to attention. It had sifted out an object that, on closer inspection, was inexplicably massive and dated back to just 300 million years after the big bang, older than any galaxy ever seen before".
“Everyone was freaking out,” says Charlotte Mason, an astrophysicist at the University of Copenhagen. “We really weren’t expecting this.”
"The article ends with this:
"Now the question is, if we can truly believe what we are seeing, is it time to reappraise our understanding of the dawn of time? “We’re peering into the unknown,” Mason says."
Laughing.... It is not unknown!

Here's another. Everyone knows how irresistible demons are. So, the faithful and discreet slave lovingly wrote an article titled:
Personally, I've struggled with resisting demons and this article was very helpful (not). Does the WT have any similar advice for those that struggle with other hideous attractions?
**** sigh *** The WT is one twisted man-hive.

Dogs—Always Man’s Best Friend?
“Killer Dogs Tear Gardener Apart”
‘Dog Attacks and Kills Girl’
“Dog Kills Baby”
HEADLINES such as these suggest that a dog is not always man’s best friend.....
In the three cases cited above, there was no provocation on the part of the victims to give rise to such vicious action by the dogs. In view of such unwarranted attacks, it is appropriate to ask: Is it wise or safe to keep a dog? What makes some dogs turn vicious? How should one deal with dogs?
--------------------- end quote ---------------------
So there you have it. JW's shamed for enjoying another one of life's simple pleasures..... man's best friend. And just look at the violent graphic language chosen... doubtless to install fear, especially in kids.
What other stupid WT questions do you remember?
there are certain wt terms that sound biblical but really just puff up the pride.
hundreds of times the wt has used the term honest-hearted in their literature.
it sounds biblical, if for no other reason because we hear it so often in jw circles.
“Honest and good hearted” appears once, thanks for that VH7.
Still using it over 330 times in the WT literature is certainly an over emphasis.
Jesus once said that he didn’t call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
That was the contrast I was trying to make.

For the record, this term appears NO WHERE in the bible. (KJV)
JW's ....Does this surprise you? What does it say about JW's who believe they are the only honest-hearted people on earth? Why would JW's choose such an unbiblical term to characterize themselves? Why are they desperately trying to find honest-hearted people in their witnessing work?
Why didn't Jesus seek out "honest-hearted" people like JW's do? What kind of people did Jesus seek out?
Honestly.
i watched some wendi renay youtube videos.
the former elder who was being interviewed mentioned a couple of things i noted.
i would like to know what your reactions were at the time you learned what i am going to relate if you had the same or kindred experience.
The other thing I noted was what he related they were taught in Elder's school: The Bible was written for the anointed-the only way the rest of the world gets salvation is by their relationship with the anointed.
This is THE central doctrine of the WT. They don't flaunt it though, Mainly they try to keep you so busy on the hamster wheel you are just too busy to think for yourself. And, a lot of people really just want somebody to tell them what to do. But rest assured, if you try believing on one of the MANY promises in the NT and you talk about it.... Then, they are quick to point out that those promises and guarantees don't apply to you. They want you to never be quite sure of where you stand with god.
"Now back to work you vermin... I mean good-for-nothing slaves".
a few weeks back, i posted this:https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/6246845349625856/never-thought-would-see-this-my-family-circle.
so, in latest developments:there was a court hearing, in which a continuance was granted for two weeks, as my bil has pleaded not guilty.
which is, in my opinion, very bad legal advice from his lawyer.
Thanks for sharing Captain. I am very interested in how all this works out. This kind of stuff is pretty common in JW families for the born-ins. I went through it. No one but an emotionally shut-down drone can live the life that the WT demands of others.
My dad started trying to get rid of me around age 15. I was asking the wrong questions. He would put all the contents in my room on the front lawn if I went to visit other kids in the neighborhood. It is a miserable existence.
